Is there any way to delete all of the items in the volumes dashboard and re-add them so they sort correctly?
Or is there any way to sort items in the Volumes Dashboard?
Or delete multiple items from the dashboard (ctrl+select)
Ever get annoyed having to copy paths of files and pasting them in emails.
Here is a great App. By just right clicking you can copy a path to a file and then paste it into an email etc. (See Below)
Completely compatible with windows 7/Vista/XP, 32/64 bit.
You can install it from the website here
http://pathcopycopy.codeplex.com/releases/view/29283
If you use outlook a “right click” drag into your email will also copy the UNCPATH
If you not using any dynamic referencing for your materials. or having problems managing repeating items in your drawings. Read on
See the screen shot below of my sheet views list from one of the jobs I am working on.
Whenever you have a bunch of materials been called out. Unit 1,2 etc… I have been using sheetviews to link them back to my drawings. Saves a whole bunch of time when it comes to fixing it all up later!
All I do is create an empty layout view under the category “materials”.
I also posted a screen shot to show you how much of the drawing can be controlled from this magical little list.
All you need is a Sheet Set… and comment below if you want to know more
Any table created in Civil 3d should be able to be easily exported to EXCEL or CSV or maybe even converted into a regular Autocad Table…
There are a few alternatives for now. The best one I have found is the “Table Exporter” App. Available for free from the Autodesk App EXchange.
Download “Table Exporter” here
Once installed it provides a tool in the ribbon the dumps your table straight into excel! Great App!
Another alternative is you can use the COT.lsp, link below.
Basically explode the table twice, use the COT.lsp to convert it to an Autocad Table, then right click-> export…
Download COT.lsp (convert to table)
This would be awesome… the ability to generate a dynamic object dependency graph in Civil 3D. Not only that but an editable object dependency graph!!
Really a lot of things you could do here if you put enough of thought into it..
